Health Services

Students at Spectrum High School have the support of a health clerk at each building throughout the school day. The health clerks care for minor emergencies, dispenses necessary medication, and provides assistance for students who come down with minor illnesses while at school.

The Lead Health & Attendance clerk for Spectrum High School is Terri Dlouhy. If you have questions or concerns, please email or contact her by calling the main office. Office hours are 7:45am-4:00pm.

The health service clerk for the Grade 6 Building is Joyce Emmel.  If you have questions or concerns, please email or by calling the Grade 6 Building office. Office hours are 7:15am-3:45pm.

Guidelines to Decide If a Student Is Too Sick to Attend School

1.If your student has a fever of 100 degrees or more, the student should stay home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal.
2.If your student has vomited or had diarrhea, the student should stay home until 24 hours after the last episode.
3.If your student has had any rash that may be disease related, or if you do not know the cause, check with your family physician before sending the student to school.
