  • The Spectrum Sting boys baseball team watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-0 loss to Nova Classical Academy on Wednesday, April 26.  Nova took the lead on a walk in the second inning. The Sting struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively giving up nine runs.  A bright spot for Spectrum was a single by Logan Johnson in the first inning.
  • ​On Thursday, April 27 Spectrum dropped a heart breaker at home against 
    Maranatha Christian Academy
    ​ by the score of 10-9 in 8 innings.  
    The game was tied at nine with Maranatha batting in the top of the eighth when 
    Kamron Ott singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
  • ​The Sting
     collected eight hits and Maranatha Christian Academy had 12 in the high-scoring affair.

    Ott pitched Maranatha Christian Academy to victory. Zach Olson took the loss for Spectrum
     He surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out two and walking one.
  • Thomas Deboer started the game for Spectrum. He 
    ​gave up four
     runs on 
     hits over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. 
    Benji Bruce started the game for Maranatha Christian Academy. He allowed six hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out ten and walking one.
  • ​Spectrum will host Chesterton Academy on Monday, April 30 in a home game.
